Concept Note:

The Center for Credentialing & Accreditation (CCA), formerly known as GCCC, envisions a world where every individual has access to high-quality services that promote health and well-being. CCA ensures that governments, institutions, and employers can engage the most qualified professionals in the fields of prevention, treatment, and recovery support for substance use disorders.

In 2024, GCCC transitioned into the International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR), adopting the new identity of CCA. This rebranding has allowed the organization to leverage ICUDDR’s global academic network, further strengthening its mission of professionalizing addiction services worldwide.

The International Certified Addiction Professional (ICAP) credential is now channeled through CCA of ICUDDR, giving it even greater recognition and value as a University-affiliated Certificate.

Through this webinar, Dr. Carmel Clancy, Director of CCA, will walk alumni through:

  • The relevance of ICAP credentialing in today’s global context

  • The step-by-step process to apply via the online portal

  • Documentation requirements for smooth application submission

  • Guidance on renewal procedures for credentialed professionals

This session is designed to provide alumni with clarity, confidence, and direction in their professional credentialing journey.
